Small creatures with undefined faces inhabit gears, pistons and metal fragments, giving life to a dynamic, poetic world crossed by a continuous vital energy. Each piece is the result of a slow process — modelling, raku firing, glazes and metallic finishes — that leaves the material a margin of unpredictability.
“Each of my creations is born from an emotion. To give, quite literally, new life to what is believed incapable of rebirth.”
Video interview with the artist
Neapolitan ceramic artist, she lives and works in Pozzuoli. She trained between Deruta and Naples, two historic centres of the Italian ceramic tradition, at the school of Romano Ranieri.
Her research is rooted in raku ceramics, complex glazes and metallic finishes: a language in which the human figure, the animal world and mechanical fragments merge into a visionary, deeply material imagery.
